Cute bunnies! I love the knitted one :) But what on earth is a scoby? It looks a bit like an alien life form...
Scobys are a wee bit strange. It's an acronym for Symbiotic Colony of Bacteria and Yeast. With one, you can transform tea and sugar into a nice healthy probiotic drink (and the sugar gets converted into non-sugary stuff). The resulting beverage is called Kombucha (Kombu Tea, if you half-translate it, or Mushroom Tea if you translate the whole thing.) You can even grow your own scoby from store-bought Kombucha!

I am still the unadventurous one that buys her own Kombucha (don't you dare call it mushroom tea, or I will have to stop drinking it)
If you ever want to get started making your own ... I've got extras! It's LOTS less expensive than getting it pre-made.
