Gillian, to answer your comment (which I deleted before I realized that it wasn't yet another spam post ... ooops!) The shawl in the top picture is Wingspan. It's free, and is a lovely use for extra sock yarn. I made a second one in blacks.
The Nature Spun basket is waiting the addition of a backordered Navy yarn, and then it will become a Christmas vest for my son. Not Christmas with reindeer and such, but Christmas like the Hillhead Slipover. It's going to be fun to knit!
